For Spring 2016

  Tues. 12:45-3:55pm Room 106 - Dr. Lulka

If you are crashing the class, know that I add the students on the WAIT LIST first, then other students after that.  Do not purchase the Lab Book unless you are in the class, as there are often shortages.

Our first class is the Penny Lab.  If you would like to read ahead, here it is:

prof. Chaddock uses these field trips.

Desert Tower Field Lab 2013 update.doc

Desert Tower Field Lab 2013 update.pdf

Directions: Take Interstate 8 east 70 miles to In-Ko-Pah exit.  Turn left and go under the freeway.  At the stop sign, make a right turn, and follow straight ahead to Desert View Tower, about one mile.

Biogeography of Silverwood Wildlife Sanctuary Self-guided Field Trip.pdf

Directions:  Take Interstate 8 east to Highway 67 north.  The freeway will narrow to 2 lanes.  Make a right turn at WIllow Road, and follow to the 4 way stop at Wildcat Canyon Road.  Turn left and follow until you see the curve that passes Old Barona Road.  Silverwood is on the right hand side, about 300 yards ahead, and you will turn right and go to the parking area.  Sign in, and be sure to put each person, not just by carload.

Biogeography of Florida Canyon Field Trip and Lab.doc

Directions:  Take Park Blvd. north past Balboa Park, past the Zoo, to Morley Field Dr.   Make a right turn, and cross Florida Street.  Enter toward the tennis courts, but turn into the driveway before the tennis courts, by the Dog Park.  Park in the lot staying close to the far end, as we are either going to hike the fitness trail, or if the weather is too hot, we will do the shorter native plant trail.

Please print this lab for class:

If we whiz through the other labs, we might be able to do one more field trip.  Look them over, and let me know what you would prefer.
